There are generally two kinds of pain - Acute pain and Chronic pain.
Acute pain is immediate and sharp, but temporary, like scraping the knee.
Chronic pain is the kind of pain that develops slowly, is persistent, may not have a clear, concrete reason or meaning and may linger for years. It is also widespread and experienced by many people in various forms.

Micro-Injuries is a project that investigates this kind of chronic pain.

Inspired by some very close relations and friends developing severe chronic pain and their experience with it, this project tries to understand various aspects of living with a longtime experience of pain. It tries to understand the developing of such pain, like residues of the past or a testimony of a lived life.

Still in it's early stages, it is as of now a collection of anecdotal notes, drawings, photographs and research material that focuses on understanding different aspects of chronic pain- from being something physical to also having deep emotional, psychological and sociological significance.
In the same way, it also tries to understand the origins of it as well as the process of healing.
